Project Assistant,  BYU College Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Provo, UT, Jan 2020 - Aug 2022

  • Maintained, repaired and operated a variety of high and ultra high vacuum systems used for research for the BYU Physics and Astronomy department

  • Handled toxic chemicals including hydrofluoric acid, gas cylinders, radioactive material, and a variety of solvents and acids

  • Completed miscellaneous projects which involved working independently and precisely with hand tools, power tools, and metal working machines

Cleanroom Operator, Moxtek, Orem, UT Aug 2019 – Jan 2020

  • Operated photolithography machines such as class 1 lasers, spin coating, plasma and thermal sputtering, XRF, and plasma etching machines within a class 100 cleanroom, taking raw glass material to finished polarizers.

OTHER EXPERIENCE

Vice President, BYU Rocketry, Provo, UT April 2025-April 2026

  • Managed $50,000 annual budget; owned purchasing, compliance, and sponsor/faculty coordination.

  • Led operations for a 200-member academic association  across flight, propulsion, avionics, and safety.

  • Initiated and managed relations with campus bookstore to create a rocketry display, sell team merch, and develop a model rocketry kit.

Division Director, BYU Rocketry Division of R&D, Provo, UT April 2024-April 2025

  • Led creation of BYU Rocketry’s R&D Division; managed merger of a 19-member Propulsion Research Team and launched a 21-member GNC team as interim lead. Coordinated with the Experimental High-Power and Capstone teams, authored technical requirements for a mobile launch platform and GSE, secured faculty funding, and ensured compliant use of tens of thousands of dollars. 

Systems Team Lead, BYU Rocketry High Power Team, Provo, UT Aug 2023-July 2024

  • Coordinated the engineering of the various subteams on the High Power Team. Worked with engineers at Corvid Technologies to develop CFD simulations of and optimize our vehicle. Created standards for designs and design processes for the team

Industry Outreach Coordinator, BYU Rocketry High Power Team, Provo, UT,  July 2023 - July 2024

  • Coordinated the College of Engineering and BYU Rocketry fundraising efforts

Payload Engineer, BYU Rocketry High Power Team, Provo, UT, Aug 2022 - July 2023

  • Created the concept for our Altitude Night Sky Cooling Effect experiment and aided in the design, and manufacture of the final payload

  • Led a team of seven to conceptualize, design, and manufacture a rocket with the purpose of collecting atmospheric data, creating an education demonstration, and collecting data for a NASA machine learning project coming in under budget
